The Brass Buzzer buzzaid consists of a lead pipe shank connected to a ring that holds the mouthpiece off the horn. The trumpet player can then buzz on the mouthpiece while holding the horn.
Here is how it works:
1. Buzzing the mouthpiece alone (with
the Brass Buzzer) :
Put the lead pipe shank into the leadpipe
of the trumpet and place the mouthpiece in the ring (outside). Buzz and
hold the trumpet as when playing, using fingers on the valves, etc.
2. Playing the trumpet (with the Brass
Buzzer):
Switch, by taking the lead pipe shank
out and place the mouthpiece into the leadpipe. Play.
