 Liner notes:

The name of this brilliant trumpet soloist, talented
arranger, and author of hundreds of transcriptions and compositions for
piano, voice, solo instrument and even orchestra, is well known throughout
the world. At the age of 80, Timofei Dokshizer has recently finished his
latest creative work, recording the Skriabiniana Suite and once more this
famous trumpeter has proven his talents. This artist has composed for himself
and many other trumpeters, orchestral repertoires of the greatest musicians
of all times. In addition, working with many of the world's famous composers,
numerous new works for trumpet have been commissioned. This high-level music
has replaced the banal, rustic music that was in character for well-known
 trumpeters of the 19th century.

Timofei Dokshizer, laureate of two international competitions, finished
his musical and pedagogical studies at the Gnessin Musical Institute in
Moscow.   Later, he served as professor at the same Institute for thirty-five
years. His professional playing experience includes serving as trumpet soloist
in the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra for thirty-eight years, numerous world
tours as concert soloist, and as an internationally known recording artist.
Upon graduating from the Moscow Conservatory, where he studied orchestral
conducting, Dokshizer served as conductor of the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra
for three years. This experience enabled him to create transcriptions of
a high level for professional musicians.

This CD includes the orchestral transcription works of Timofei Dokshizer,
 performed on trumpet by himself.
