Jukka Myllys
Euphonium artist
Jukka Myllys (b. 1963) is a virtuoso who is known especially on
bringing out Finnish music.
He graduated as a Master of Music from the Sibelius Academy
and has
performed as a soloist with several symphony orchestras and wind bands,
recorded, and given solo recitals in Europe and the United States. He has
worked as assistant
conductor of the Pohja Military Band and currently plays trombone with
the Oulu Symphony
Orchestra. He has taken part in many tuba and
euphonium festivals including appearances at numerous ITEA Conferences,
the Falcone Festival, and the US Army Band Tuba Euphonium Conference.
The
Lieksa
Brass Week named him the1994
Brass Player of the Year.
