James Stamp (1904 -1985) is well known for his brass teaching. His book, Warm-ups + Studies, published by BIM, is used all over the world. In 1980 Brass Bulletin published a series of articles by James Stamp, called Practical Hints where he show how to practice the Technical Studies by Herbert L. Clarke:
There are more articles in Brass Bulletin, but based on these 3 examples it should be possible to use these Stamp ideas on the other exercises, by renumbering the lines in each study and using the repeat and fermata tips.
