Adolph Herseth will indeed retire at the age of 80 as principal trumpet player the CSO after the 2001 summer season at Ravinia.  Herseth has headed the CSO trumpet section for 53 consecutive seasons. He will be replaced by Craig Morris, associate principal trumpet player with the San Francisco Symphony.
