I met Rafael Méndez - Miron A. Montanino

Around 1964, I met Rafael, even had lunch with him, sat 1 chair away.

He was giving a clinic at Colonie H.S., N.Y. I was 10 at the time?
I even know someone who may still have a reel to reel recording of it.

Went with my teacher, Edwin Johnson (he used to play for the 1930's-40's band called the CLIQUOT ESKIMOS).

Sat in the audience during rehearsal and show and remember thinking he looked like a Hollywood star.

I had a great time.
