Clint 'Pops' McLaughlin
The cyber teacher 'Pops'
My trumpet playing friend Rune
and I have learned a lot from the kind fellow Clint 'Pops'
McLaughlin.
We have never met 'Pops' in person, but we have "talked" with him via
email and
read his postings on the trumpet news group.
He is a student of several great teachers like the late Don 'Jake' Jacoby. From his hometown Dallas, Texas, U.S.A., he gives private lessons and consultation on embouchure development and trumpet playing. 'Pops' is also an expert on trumpet design and trumpet mouthpieces. He has written 4 books and one booklet. More info at his own webpage "Trumpet College"
Here is a chapter from his book "The Nononsense Trumpet from A to Z", Embouchure, that he gave me permission to publish here.
Some testimonials given to Pops,
by people who bought his books or other that he helped.
Kurt Schulenburg posted his lesson
with Pops to TPIN.
