Subject: Finger exercise.

Hi Trumpet Players!  Here is a great exercise for making the 3rd. finger as agile as the first 2...Turn to Clarke Techincal Studies number 2.

1. Play the exercise in the key of E, using third valve for all A's and E's. (First valve will not be used.)

2. Now play the exercise again in D by putting the first valve down (leave it down) and use the same finger pattern as you did for the key of E.

Who will be the first to email me saying that you can play these 2 exercises at a tempo of 144 in sixteenth notes?

Best wishes!
