Folks:

I recently received a package of materials from the very gracious Mr. Clyde Hunt...

I hadn't commented on them 'til now, since I wanted to be able to devote sufficient time to examining them, and sharing my impressions with all of you....

Well, suffice it to say, the man is a wonderful talent: his practical *Beginning Trumpeters* book should be used in every elementary school music program...

His transposition tips are among the clearest and most concise that I've seen in _decades_ of playing and teaching...

His Haydn and Hummel cadenzas are not only technically thrilling, but musical...

And his trumpet sound is so big, full and vibrant--well, it reminded me of the late, great Billy Butterfield at his very best!

All-in-all a very impressive package indeed, and a much-needed(and appreciated) addition to trumpet teaching, recordings, and literature....

        Bravo, Clyde!
