I studied with the GREATEST teacher of all time........................ME.

Oh yeah, I took lessons from Sigmund Hering, Nat Prager,Sam Krauss and Gil Johnson, but my best teacher was me.

Who can better assess playing weaknesses than the player?

A teacher can point a player in the right direction, but, the player must  ultimately decide where he wants to go and what it will take to get there. I learn as much from being around trumpet players as I did from studying with  them.

Sometimes you can learn more by watching a great.

I was, and still am a student.

It was worth the money, Jared, just to sit close to Mr. McNab.
