Allen Vizzutti and Jerry Hey was in a studio, Jerry demonstrating valveless scales (as described on Nick Drozdoff's web page) to Allen.
Both of them were playing with this stuff when the composer walked by. And he got horrified, running to the contractor and interrogating him about these guys not knowing how to play the trumpet. The contractor told him not to worry about it!

(As we all know, these guys can really play!)
